Hi! I'm Keb, and I am the Founder of Agriculturist PH. I am passionate about the intersection of agricultural policy, technological innovation, data science, and digital transformation to advance the agriculture sector.
A registered agriculturist in the Philippines specializing in farm planning, agribusiness, urban agriculture, coconut production, and cooperative management.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Management from the University of the Philippines Los Baños, where I specialized in agribusiness policy development and received the Service Leadership Award from Enactus Philippines in 2016 for my work in social entrepreneurship and community development. I later completed coursework in the PhD in Data Science program at the University of the Philippines Diliman, which deepened my interest in the governance, ethics, and regulation of data and emerging technologies. I am currently pursuing my doctorate in legal studies at San Sebastian College-Recoletos de Manila.
In 2018, I completed an economic development fellowship at Brown University as a U.S. Department of State scholar under the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI), focusing on inclusive growth, public policy, and innovation. This fellowship was the starting point of my former startup company, Tagani: a TOP100 startup in Asia Pacific in 2019.
In 2020, I received the YSEALI Seeds for the Future Award for my work in digital agriculture. I was given the privilege to lead #GrowASEAN, a Southeast Asia-wide project that taught digital agriculture skills to agriculture students as well as helped local farmers and fisherfolk in digital agribusiness amid the global pandemic. It has raised a total of P500,000 in funds through its #SupportFarmersPH campaign.
Currently, I work as a private consultant to many government agencies and private agro-industrial enterprises as a licensed agriculturist by virtue of Republic Act No. 12215, or the Philippine Agriculturist Act, requiring registered agriculturists in all projects concerning agriculture. I focus on my subject matter expertise in agricultural economics, technology, data governance, agricultural policy, farm production, cooperative management, and agribusiness entrepreneurship.
I also support researchers and students by issuing Agricultural Certificates in review of their methodologies as compliant with agricultural ethics and standards under Philippine laws and regulations.
I am an active member of the Philippine Association of Agriculturists, the Analytics and AI Association of the Philippines, and the Philippine Meteorological Society.
