Amiga Philippines was a women-empowerment program initiated by Enactus UP Los Baños (UPLB) to support housewives in Calauan, Laguna, in establishing their own businesses. It pioneered a recordkeeping system in the Filipino language to improve financial literacy in rural communities.
Enactus UPLB, established in 2015 by Keb Cuevas, is the official business student organization and Enactus team of the University of the Philippines Los Baños. The organization focuses on creating entrepreneurship-based community outreach projects to improve lives and competes in Enactus competitions.
Enactus is the world’s largest experiential learning platform dedicated to creating a better world while developing the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders.
